In continuation of the last discussion around the burden of Heart Attacks, this is also important to note that there are guidelines and recommendations available on suspected MI cases of patients presented with chest discomfort
According to one of the recommendations of The American College of Cardiology (ACC)/American Heart Association (AHA)
“Patients who present with chest discomfort should undergo early risk stratification that focusses on anginal symptoms, physical findings, ECG findings, and Cardiac biomarkers”
So we can also say that along with other things, Immediate measurement of Cardiac biomarkers and ECG in patients presenting with suspected MI or Chest discomfort hold promise for faster diagnosis or rule-out of MI, allowing for appropriate management steps to be initiated and more efficient and effective utilization of healthcare resources.
Normally a patient with chest discomfort or suspected MI will try and go to the nearest health care providers. And these are nearby Nursing homes or private clinics with Cardiologists and/or Physicians.

BIG QUESTION is how a clinician or a smaller nursing home will measure these cardiac markers immediately as will need big and complex instruments to perform these tests and this also requires a sophisticated infrastructure….
And the answer is another question:
DID YOU KNOW that these CARDIAC BIOMARKERS CAN BE MEASURED IN 3-15 MINUTES in any clinic with the help of a very small instrument?

The good news is that We can save very crucial time for timely diagnosis or rule-out of MI and measure these biomarkers in 3-15 minutes. But what is missing is the awareness that these biomarkers (Myoglobin + Troponin +Ck-MB) can be measured through a single test in 3-15 minutes with the help of a US-FDA certified instrument and even better is that there is NO NEED for sophisticated infrastructure.
This adoption of technology can help us address many questions which we discussed in the burden of heart attacks. These screening at the primary healthcare providers may allow extra time to appropriate management steps to be initiated.
